End of an era

The lease on the office came to an end in August. This forced a decision on us.

The building was old and, increasingly, not fit for purpose. It was impossible to comply with the spirit of the Disability regulations; even where it might be possible it would be extremely expensive. We decided we could not commit to a further long lease. Reluctantly, the office is now closed.

We wrote to all the customers explaining the arrangements. Many had already started using our ground floor, light & airy offices in Herne Bay. Everyone else was invited to do so as well.

If this was difficult, we would continue to offer to pick up and collect records. So far, everything is working well.

And we're still taking on clients in Birchington.

Past history

In November 2002 Hilary Adams took over responsibilities for the clients of Noel, Martin & Co, and Michael Cuckney & Co. This followed the retirement of Peter Martin, who had traded from his Birchington office for over ten years. (The business has been in Birchington much, much longer.) Blezards clients joined us in 2007.

We're now a few years in, and we think we've got to grips with all the names and faces (and personalities). And we're always welcoming new clients.

You can choose be dealt with at any of our offices, whichever is most convenient. Staff are constantly shuttling back and forth, but you can contact them wherever they are.

We're proud of our systems, developed over years at Herne Bay. They work in Birchington, too. (Without too much adjustment for local preferences...)

The Birchington office is at 30 The Square

Down the little passage to the right of the Nationwide, and up the stairs.

And if "up the stairs" is a problem we'll visit you instead.
